Can anybody suggest somewhere that i can upload tiff files? It needs to be free, and I have six files of about six MB each that I need to upload asap. Instructions need to be given with idiot-proof simplicity. Thanks peeps

There's yahoogroups, but their file size limit is 5MB each with a total of 20mb for the list.

You could alternatively set up an MSN community. They allow 30MB of space and you can certainly put zip files up there.

Go see http://groups.msn.com...

File formats don't matter, lentil, only file sizes. Yahoo or MSN or whatever isn't going to look at them, just store them. So, if you zip them, they may well fit. Group/community sites like those are probably your best bet, as free web space sites tend to disallow direct file downloads anymore due to piracy problems etc, though I'm sure there are some stillthat don't. Try crosswinds.net, as one possibility.

Yahoo Briefcase gives you 30Mb, you won't have to go to the trouble of setting up a group. Sharing them is a little harder if the people you're sharing with don't have Yahoo IDs. But I use it all the time for storing random shit, usually pictures.

These six files wouldn't be six finished Shifter pages would they, lentil..?

fridgemagnet, by the time I read your response I'd already set up a group, but thanks anyway, I'll give that a go next time I need to do something similar.

Sax, I'm afraid not, they're my film noir pastiche, "Slab Marlowe", intended for Boy in a Suitcase's "Plucky Duck" comics. Two days late and he's already got more submissions than he can affors to print... ah well. Hopefully there'll be an issue two.
But, funny you should mention the Shifter, I've just sent three pages to your tiscali account and was going to PM you immediately after checking this thread... guess that won't be necessary now. I hope you like 'em!
