I spent four hours last night going through the magick forum and just saving webpages. I've probably got 65% of the forum sitting on my hard drive right now.
archiving web threads: I usually go File>Save As>Web Archive single file [*.mht]... this just saves the page as-is, including all images, formatting etc.
and you can click on an option to go any number of links deep... if you web archive the front page of each section, with the thread listing, that'll do the trick
Bear in mind that this could start seriously sucking bandwidth, and a huge bill would be a poor parting gift to Tom, if things work out that way. So, you might want to be selective.
I've been pulling down the annotations and analysis from The Bomb... I think this stuff needs to be preserved, and I'm willing to put it back up on my server...
