A lucky find at my local car boot sale this sunday enabled
me to purchase the fantastic TV series The Martian Chronicles
on video. Apparently its been deleted since 1994 but lucky old me found it and got it for a pound. Trust me I was dancing with joy about this one. I didnt realise it was even released in this
country ( england ) on video. Beautiful!!!
So why am I telling you this?
Because I am very puzzled!
My video has a running time of 180 minutes. Cat no: CAS9036
Yet the whole actual series should have a running time of 276
minutes. Three episodes of 92 minutes each.
I've checked in my Boys Book of Knowledge ( the tvtimes
encyclopedia of TV science fiction ) and I can tell from the plot
synopsis that the video is missing the very last episode.
I also checked on www.blackstar.co.uk and found that there was only the one video released at 180 minutes.

Does anyone out there know if the final episode ever made it to video in the UK or why it was left off the video release I have?
I should also point out that yes I have done a search through Google but unfortunatly have had no leads.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
