I'd be grateful if one or more London Barbeloids could reassure me that I'm not alone in being bemused by the buskers who're a constant presence at the foot of the escalator in Bond St Tube station. There's sometimes one, more often two; one has a trumpet, one a tambourine. They're playing along to a backing track of 'Part Time Lover'. Always 'Part Time Lover'.
And they're always dressed in moth-eaten Sylvester (or 'Sylvester & Tweetie Pie' fame) pussy-cat costumes, complete with whole-head masks.
They are there, aren't they? |
