So, say there's this wannabe hackette, right? (We'll just call her Merdant Cornival.) And say she was almost done writing an article for a webzine which she was hoping (should it be accepted) to refer to on her CV.
Now, say that Merdant Cornival also had a weblog which had recently earned her a few death threats from passing imbeciles. This, among other things, is making her a bit skittish about the idea of revealing her real name online at the moment, even for the sake of a nice juicy slice of CV-boosting visibility.
Would prospective publishers (magazine/webzine) be happy with a "writing as..." reference? Or do they need something more substantial than a psedonym? |
