'Moderate post' - request

Just a quick request. When you want to edit one of your contributions to a thread and use the 'moderate post' function, can you please give the reason, even if you think it's an obvious one. It's hellishly difficult to see exactly what it is that's being changed sometimes, and a hint would make things that bit easier. Ta.

If we're fixing a typo or something, should we actually point very specifically to what we're changing?

As in:
I changed "If we're fixing a devo or something,"
to "If we're fixing a typo or something,"

I don't think you need to specifically tell us exactly what the problem was - some people get it right just by saying "fixing html" "fixing grammar" "fixing spelling", "formatting" etc.

Yeah - I'm happy with 'fixed spelling' or 'typos' - but it would be NICE if you could be more specific... Depends how drastic the change is...

you don't just copy and paste the new post in over the old ones? you actually go and hand make each change?

You don't do either- you just click a button for "agree" or "disagree". But it's good practice to check over the post first (tho' I have to confess I went a bit slackoid when cusm was rooting out all those duplicate magick threads).
