I don't know how difficult it would be (not, I suspect) but would it be possible to put the "local" time up next to the date? By local, I mean whatever time you're using such that passing midnight causes the date to change. I'm guessing it's London time, and that would be really nice to know for those of us in the States.

Actually it's not London time either - it's kind of Greenwich Mean Time, I think - which differs from UK time during the summer. If you're looking for something that means that you can estimate how many posts you've made in a 24 hour period, then please don't - remember that the board literally checks how longer ago your Xth most recent post was. If that number is less than 24, then no posting...

I wasn't planning on using it to gauge posting limits. I don't think I've come close yet at all...

It's just that knowing what time it is "over there" helps me get a feeling for the rhythm&cycle that the bulk of the posters follow. Also, it's bad enough feeling like I'm perpetually playing catchup with the East Coast (being three hours behind, in California) without always hitting the stupid feeling of "Fourth of July over there already? When did that happen??"

I seem to remember that one was brought up before, Ellis- it sounded a good idea in principle, until it was pointed out that a lot of people with broadband (and many without- myself included) tend not to log out at the end of every session, so there'd be much confusion.

Something which might have been useful for the 20-odd deletion requests I've been processing as moderator today: a slot in the "Delete Topic" and "Delete Post" boxes for the Topic/Post originator as well as the person making the moderation request.

I think we should delete any suit that doesn't post within the first X amount of days. Is this someone that wants to be a member or an extra suit "just in case" the other ones get banned?

I imagine that some people might want to lurk and have the option of posting if they suddenly get an urge to... if a troll has many suits and is aware of a time limit they'll just post from each of them anyway.
