Inspired by one of Mord@nt's sigils. I hear many mentions of the King in Yellow. So I go plug it into Google. Among the things I come up with?

The King in Yellow Quiz

I've never read the play, but aparently I'm Prince Aldones. I have to go to the library tomorrow to decide if that's a good thing or not.

Quote: Editor's Note:

The King in Yellow is a peculiar collection of semi-related short stories, the most famous of which have acquired the status of minor horror classics among aficionados of the form.

And I too am Brechmas.

Now, um, hold on just a minute .. I've read the King in Yellow, and none of these people are in it! A few of the names appear in the quotes/poems that open the chapters I think, but unless I'm missing something enormous, the rest of it's all made up..

Um, all of 'em are mentioned in The Repairer of Reputations with the exception of Bremchas.

Well they're alluded to, but one of the main points of the book (in so much as such a bizarre, rambling volume can be said to have points) is that the details of the story contained in The King in Yellow are never revealed.. where on earth did all the character descriptions in this test emerge from?

Beats me. I'm still scraping together enough money to buy the book. I did read that some people have written their own versions of what they think the play would be. Perhaps that's the case.
