Hey all. I'm working on a story featuring a stalker and wondered if anyone could recommend some good factual books about stalking.Remember, helping me with this will mean I won't have to do any field research.

I can't recommend a particular book on stalking, but you should go check out the true crime section of a bookstore or library. You should be able to find a bunch of books on stalking that way.

I hope this doesn't turn into the thread where no one gives you what you want, but the only book/story I can think of is "A Long Fatal Love Chase" by Louisa May Alcott & the various academic papers spawned thereof.

I don't know of any off the cuff, but I did have a look on Amazon and (apart from the books on practical deer-stalking) there seems to be some reasonable work out there. This one was in the top five and had five stars.

The Psychology of Stalking: Clinical and Forensic Perspectives

Stalkers and their Victims

Just go to Amazon and type "stalking" into the search box. There's like 120 or so matches.

I haven't seen it so can't say whether it's good or pants, but there's 'Stalkers: how harmless devotion turns to sinister obsession' by Jean Ritchie.

Any decent library should have something, probably around 364, which is in the crime/psychology section.

Thanks for the help, y'all. I know I can count on all of you to appear as character witnesses.
