I really do blame Van 'the Man' for everything.

And I just wanna point out that I wasn't disagreeing with Mordant's "leave her alone" attitude so much as pointing out that the tendency to assume there are shadowy forces at work "behind" someone like Britney Spears is a bit dubious.
