Can we recommend stuff that we've recently eaten? I realize it's area-specific, but it's not my fault that most of you don't live in my city...
That being said: Pistachio Kulfi ice cream, from the Big Chill in Little Italy (Toronto). Creamy pistachio with saffron and nutmeg. Frozen God. The smoothies made by the curly-haired elf-like boy who works there are also really great.
I'm really liking the new Afu-Ra album, Life Force Radio. I also really liked The Intuitionist by Colson Whitehead. It's very smart and tongue-in-cheek, and the bits about Elevator theory are brilliant. So there. |
