Repression or expression?

Suppose you are feeling depressed or have a lot of problems that you can't really do anything about. What's the best way to deal with it? Try and keep as busy as possible until you feel better or express your feelings by talking to people or trying to channel it creatively. Is too much expression a bad thing? Do you think neglecting to think about problems is dangerous? Do you need a balance between the two?

I've always found that the best way to deal with depression is write an album about my pain and sorrow; then go out and tour for that record, playing for enormous audiences of screaming fans while the record goes mega-platinum on the pop charts.

I don't think too much expression is ever a bad thing - in fact, express every stupid thing that comes into your head. It always works for me.

Channeling creatively, yeah.

I've found that, most of the time, talking to people about feeling down and out doesn't help and often hurts.

Writing it down is sometimes a good thing, but I only do this if I feel compelled to do so.

I just had a horrible image of Ganesh as the next Raj Persaud. Please, god, no. Although you could only liven up Richard And Judy.

We had a shrine to Dr Raj, you know, with signed photos and everything.
