This interactive artwork invites you to evolve the letterforms of a personalized 'alien alphabet' - the plausible writing system of your own imaginary civilization. There are three steps:

Step 1 asks you to draw a 'seed glyph'. This scribble will be used as a model, to guide your alphabet's evolution.

In Step 2, you can adjust a variety of parameters, which shape the evolution of your alphabet.

When you're satisfied with the new script, go to Step 3. There you can name it, and download it as a TrueType font.

Yeah, that does indeed rock. You could probably use it as a weird kind of divination/scrying device. Just stare into the mutating letters and see what appears. Apparently, my future holds a lot of stick men dancing round in a circle and rabbits which turn into elephants...
