Nebraska. Family obligation.

Two weeks. 26-hour drive each way. With a five-year-old and a two-month-old.

Skye (that's a wee island off the west coast of Scotland) and Brittany. That's assuming i can get three consecutive weeks off work (and that's assuming i can find a job in the first place.)

Ireland! in 2 weeks! Yeah! I've wanted to go for over 7 years now! Yeehah.

Just done Singapore and Malaysia. Which was nice.

Going to Cornwall in August. Camping, apparently. While being under canvas is not my natural environment, I am looking forward to my first visit to the place.

Cornwall's great sax. Where abouts are you headed?

I'm doing the Cyclades Islands in 4 days time! Can't wait!

It's my first time to Greece, so I'm having a few days in Athens.

Is there anything in particular I should see in these areas?

Nowhere Land !!!!

My last chance!

No holidays planned, unless work jaunts to Barcelona and Paris count?

My days off are going to be spent painting the new flat, so the work trips look very appealing.

And yes, Cornwall's great, Sax - my Mum and Dad live down there so i go quite a lot. Where are you going?

Not sure - there's a few of us going and talk of camping, which as I said is completely against my nature, so I suppose we'll be going all over. I'd like to see the Eden Project, Jamaica Inn, a monkey sanctuary, and some mystical places where I can behave like a hippy. Any suggestions?

Tintagel.

Eden Project's good, if that's your bag, but be warned the queues are usually massive.

I quite like Port Izaak (sp?). You can hire boats and canoes around there and go along the coast. Good food there too!

yes, Tintagel and the Eden Project are great. St Ives is cute but too busy, usually. You're best to just trundle about, see what you find - lots of the little towns by the sea are gorgeous. Avoid Land's End, because it's been turned into a big funfair.

And there are lots of B&Bs to skulk off to if the camping gets too much.

Watch out for -

a) the seagulls at Marazion, they will steal your chips

b) the bookseller at Lostwithiel who offered me a job and a place to stay in his flat when I was fifteen...

KCC - when you say "watch out for" do you mean beware of them or seek them out..?

Oooh yes, seek out dodgy old geezers with a taste for underage girls...

I meant beware of them. Though there is a very good ruined castle near Lostwithiel which *is* worth looking out for.

Going to Baltimore for a week with my lovely wife.

Define holiday? Any amount of time away from a job you are obligated to go to, during which you are not to call work or think about work.

Which means that my holiday probably won't be a holiday at all. Fuck.

Zoom.

I never went to the Cyclades, but Rhodes is incredible.

In Athens, I remember the standard "parthenon, temple of zeus, guards in skirts, agora, etc." sightseeing. It's not a very nice city as cities go, but I may have missed some undiscovered sections...

...oh, and go run a lap at the olympic stadium, and climb the mountain in the centre of the city... and Socrates's prison is just by the parthenon..

Not going to be having a holiday this year, or probably for some time after that.

Cheers, BA. Lap at Olympic Stadium. Thats the one that's open at one end right? I was planning to try that, but I may drop dead half way round.

Well I'm going to Dorset! It's Glastonbury next week and the tent is packed and so are the waterproofs. It's going to be a miracle to get 5 days in a row with no rain. Think nice thoughts for us please.
