Sleepless Knights: The Guardian reports that Grant Morrison, the comic book
creator behind "Batman: Arkham Asylum", has successfully pitched a script to
Dreamworks which Director Guillermo del Toro is attached to direct. The
story follows a time travel experiment gone wrong which results in the world
being stuck on Halloween Eve - and soon spirits start running free. Its then
a young boy joins a ghost-bustin team called 'The Sleepless Knights' and
expect lots of ectoplasmic splatter to ensue. Where this'll fit into Del
Toro's already busy schedule is unknown. Thanks to 'Andy' & 'FanHalen'
just to correct a bit.. the film isn't actually greenlit, it's just that dreamworks bought the pitch. might be quite a while before anything happens... del toro has to shoot 1, if not 2 whole movies beforehand, for one thing.
here's a bit more description of the plotline. it sounds more disney than morrisonesque...
"After an accident with a time machine locks the world perpetually on Halloween Eve, ghosts and goblins realize that they can haunt the world of the living all the time. As the spooks invade and cause chaos, it's up to a young biy and an elite ghostbusting agency called the Sleepless Knights to save the planet. "
