with apologies if this has been explored before.
this from the t j hooker official site. i'm no expert on slash, but the two partners (william shatner and young adrian zmed) seem to have a lotta tension going on. this rather proves it, to my eye:
"A young recent graduate of the Academy, officer Vince Romano enjoys the privilege of being the other half of 4Adam30. His South Philly upbringing always close to the front of his mind, Romano's occasional fish-out-of-water attitude towards life in L.A. provides plenty of fodder for lectures from his erstwhile elder partner.
But being the partner of T.J. Hooker isn't all glamour and games. Romano has to work hard to please his partner, especially on the days Hooker's calling roll at the station.
Whether he's chasing down thugs with a shotgun, going undercover as a male exotic dancer, or even picking fights with fellow officer Jim Corrigan in the Academy locker room, Vince Romano tries his hardest to be a good cop and a better partner to Hooker. He's taken bullets for Hooker--several, in fact. And even though one of them caused a mental defect in Romano that made him nervous on the job, Hooker was able to bring him back to his old self through the use of a sophisticated street-shooting simulation.
Romano's a perpetual ladies' man, although he even found true love once...unfortunately, she was killed by a car bomb that was planted for Hooker in the parking lot of Sherry's Bar.
No matter what, Vince will always be there to lend a hand to his partner, and their cohorts Stacy Sheridan and Jim Corrigan of 4Adam16...until the last season, that is."
neither hooker or romano seem to find love. not with the ladies, anyway......
