Some folks that I find very charismatic and cool by the way that they write include Haus, Flyboy, Your Name Here, Jack Fear, Ierne, Videodrome, Tom Coates, E Randy Dupre, not to mention Moriarty, who I think is one of Barbelith's unsung heroes.
I think Cherry Bomb comes off as very sexy and cool in the way that she writes - she has a very charming way of balancing being very mature and intellectual with a carefree fun party girl vibe.
Suds is pretty similar...I think Autopilot put it best when he said that she's like an enthusiastic and exhuberant teenage girl, and at the same time, that same girl's wise older sister. She writes very clearly, and has a way of articulating passion and intensity of feeling that forces the reader to feel what she feels, or at least relate. I think she writes very persuasively, and I think she has the ability to write very empowering prose. Suds is pretty fucking cool. |
