Ah... the joys of rediscovering music you'd forgotten about. I've just rediscovered New Model Army's "Far Better Thing", Melanie Garside's "Fossil", and best of all, Rowland S Howard's "Teenage Snuff Film" which while only a couple of years old, I had totally forgotten but which is now my current favourite album.

On the downside, though, I also made the mistake of listening to Christian Death's "Sex & Drugs & Jesus Christ", which I absolutely loved at the time. And boy, was it shit.

Anyone else rediscovered some really cool shit, like some crazy musical archaeologist?

absolutely. started listening to some old anarcho punk stuff a few months back - the mob, crass, poison girls. much of it seems to be (unfortunately) horribly relevant at the moment. some bloody good tunes, too.

Violent Femmes

Their first album is one of my favorites, but for some reason I hadn't listened to it in almost two years.

And then yesterday I did. And now I am glad.
