It really depends on how historically accurate the fiction is. Take Harry Turtledove for instance. He writes alternate historical fiction. For example, in The Guns of the South, the souther army is equipped with Ak-47s. Other than that, the material is dead on accurate. Thus, he can travel through time.
Now people who don't write accurate historical fiction can travel through time in a sense. They see an alternate past that is made up of incorrect facts and myth.
Now, I can hear people posting already. What about people who write futuristic science fiction stuff? People who write that are just nutjobs and need to be locked up. |
