Please don't! I just noticed that my images are down coz of going over village.com's daily bandwidth, and my blue ghosty ocean image (in the Magick) has had 122 views since I put it up (compared to 40-odds for other images that have been up longer). This suggests that someone is using it elsewhere.
I'm flattered and all, but now nobody can see any of my pics.
I would love to gaze at your ghostly blue ocean picture, which sounds atmospheric, but I am too scared to go to the Magick, even for a furtive prowl around, after seeing how that Willow Wicca woman got addicted...
I have found that there are two sites (one a professional site with paid columnists and everything) who are stealing pics from my site. I usually just change the name of the pic by a letter and have an imagine that says, "These people are stealing from www.solitairerose.com because they can't possibly think of anything worth putting on the web themselves."
Well, I don't really mind in this case- it's just something quick I whipped up- but it's putting a bit of a strain on my image hosting service. When I get my website proper sorted out it'll be less of a prob.
But yeah- if I was a for-real illustrator then uncredited use of my pix would really piss me off.
You can prevent remote image linking by setting options in your .htaccess file, I am reliably informed. This may not be applicable to your hosting package, but I can tell you how to do it (er, if I can remember).
