Folks,
Finally I have figured out the bones of a musical direction after much fannying about. Obviously mangoes will be involved, but I also need an indeterminate number of people capable of playing an interesting variety of instruments. The project (hereafter known as 'the project') will be predominantly acoustic, and involve crossover between rootsy forms like bluegrass and latin with that amorphous beast, the 'classic british pop song'. There will also be moments of psychedelia, angst and fleetfooted jawdrop musicianship: we're talking hybrid here. If that sounds like you, musically, then we need to talk- although I should warn you that at this stage and until further notice I reserve the right to be a raving autocrat (whilst remaining, as ever, sweet'n'fluffy and nice to work with.)
If, on reading this, anyone has suggestions, ideas, kittens or practical suggestions about things like staging, getting gigs, or representation, I'd like to talk to you too. Lengthy one-on-one discussions are probably better handled through email (available via my profile) at this stage.
