Upon ingestion I see two things, the first is the naked image of the rear of a woman, genitals exposed. This is super-imposed by the image of the energy/auric field around my self.

From personal balance one can extend peace into the world.

During the week I get the impression that I am much more calm and centred, which seems to nagate attracting any hassle, stress and agression towards me. I become adept in my own sphere of influence and exertion, at peace and without fear. This influences the world outside my aura, in a mirroring process.

My twin boys have their third birthday, Freya mentions twins. Frey and Freya. One of each sex, male and female polarity. Algiz takes on teh symbolism of the genitals upright and inverted, the first vision makes more sense.

I am calm whilst all around lose their heads at a job interview. I have the necessary space to operate within this frantic enviroment without anxiety. Serenity seems non too distant from this, but without the knowledge.

WE attract much of the of the danger and threats, in our lives, towards us, through sympathetic resonance.

I vibrate in occordance with my DNA generating a protective field.

Protection, in the simplest interpretation. But not protection through personal strength or warding, as seen in Thurisaz and Eihwaz. Protection comes here from divine sources above, arms reaching upwards to heaven for assistance and protection. Protection by faith in a higher power. Divine power is impersonal and works for the greater good, while magick is personal use of this power directed by the ego. This rune calls upon the impersonal force to act on your behalf, rather than commanding it yourself. The calling down of divine power from heaven.

Alternative forms include an inverted version, which appears as the popular symbol for peace. Peace can be found in sanctuary, and sometimes protection appears in the form of a lack of agression.

Anglo-Saxon rune poem:
Elk's sedge has its home
most often in the fen,
it waxes in the water
and grimly wounds
and reddens with blood
any man
who, in any way,
tries to grasp it.

I recently began seeing this rune as an elf (or rather, Alf) rune. The Elves in Norse Mythology hold an evolutionary position between men and gods. They are immortal souls filled with divine power and light, but who are not at the level of the gods. They act sometimes as avatars or messengers of the gods, intermediaries. Their position is closest to that of Angels, as would be understood today.

So this rune, in calling down divine light, to me represents the elf. Meditation upon it is to bring one closer to Alfhood, evolving spiritually.

And the diagonal lines remind me of pointy ears, too.

According to Jordsvin, this rune is also called "elhaz," which means "the elk," a kingly animal and a guardian.

Also says this: The verse names this Rune "Eolh-Secg" = "Elk-Sedge" and refers to how sharp the leaves of this plant are.

Is Elk-Sedge the same thing as sawgrass?

He goes on to say the rune echoes or represents the common body posture of prayer, body erect and arms upraised.

Funny this should come up; it was one of today's runes for me.

I'm not sure if they'd be exatly the same plant, but according to Wikipedia sawgrass is a name given to a genus of large sedges that grow around the world, many of which have sharp leaves. So it might be a very similar plant.
