a statement from bin Ladin was just broadcast...apparently it was taped either today or very recently. He denies responsibility for the 9/11 attack (YEAH FUCKING RIGHT!) and then incites a holy war against America and Israel.

To me, it appeared to be the last gasp of a doomed man preparing to become a martyr for his entirely fucked cause.

It is. Everytime he attempts to rally those sympathetic to the Palestinian plight, I can't help but laugh. He didn't care about any of that noise until very recently. He's a religious nut. He'll get a holy war any way he can.

I'm glad we're dropping food and blankets immediately after the bomb attacks. It will hopefully take the teeth out his Great Satan argument about the US.

Well even if he didn't do it he knew he was going to get blamed for it, Osama may be dumb but he dosen't seem that stupid. These ravings he released about a jihad was probably prepared long before 9-11 and was simply waiting for the Tomahawks to drop. The statement was released from Cairo, so obviously this strategy to turn Afghanistan into a parking lot is just taking out our frustrations on an easy target. My thoughts go with all the brave US and UK military risking their lives today.

Does anybody know where to find specific data on locations attacked? I've seen a few mentioned. Did they actually target power stations?

The reports of what the US/UK have SAID they targeted have come out. However, those are not exactly reliable. I do know that power has gone out in both Kabul and Kandahar, though, and power stations are usually major targets.
