According to runeschool.org: Eihwaz (Eoh) is change and Death, whilst Pertho (Peorth) represents Wyrd. At a symbolic level Pertho (Peorth) links with the womb of the great goddess. Hence there is a rune of death and one of birth side by side.

Upon ingestion I see a large dark funnel of energy in space, my point of view floats from its side to directly over it. I peer down inside its mysterious volume, awaiting discovery.

All that you ever need to achieve your goals is inside you.

I dream. In that dream I come across some rock climbers, scaling a huge vertical mountain with ropes. I swoop close and become a woman climber. I'm shocked to discover that she is climbing a rope, with having only one arm. As I become her, I am frozen, unable to understand how she held on and climb.

We have yet to make the most of our potential.

Opportunity, synchronicity and an apex of symbology, makes me acutely aware of my destiny. My future and my dreams begin to mereg into one another. I start to see progress in the new skills that I have begun to develop/remember. Progression towards an event horizon that I was born to meet.

What holds you back except yourself?

Untapped resevoirs of energy and focus. Flashes of inspiration mixed with an intuitive feeling of fate. The birth/beginning of new and inproved ventures. Old skin is shed, without the self pity and mourning of the past. Rebirth.

Reversed this rune would be termination, ending, death. But from ones own hand/choice/decision.

I tune into the unending resevoir of potential and destiny that my DNA defines

Shape of the lot cup, from which dice are thrown in games. Luck, fortune, Wyrd. Lady luck.

But not just luck, the future manifestation of Wyrd, what is to be. Mystery, the well of Mir. Odin gave his eye to see from this place.

Trace Wyrd back, and it flows from the past. All knowledge, all knowing, all sources. The mother of all being. The secret known to Norns, who draw form this well to know the past and the future. Elder Erda.

Within a system of divination, Pertho represents divination itself. Blinding recursing, sometimes its appearance indicates that you do not receive an answer at this time, that what you seek is controlled by fate, and beyond your knowing.

[lot box] is always
play and laughter
among bold men,
where the warriors sit
in the beer hall,
happily together

Games and birth? AND Wyrd?

How closely might this be linked to Sanskrit lila, or divine play?

Wyrd as a map of where we have been, which yet deliniates where we may go.

Luck as a skill. Luck as an ability, like strength or speed or perfect pitch. Testing that ability against a wily opponant. Building it up like a muscle; honing it like a blade. Or watching it waste away and atrophy.
