Hah- fooled you. Now you are within my clutches, and must once again help me with my homework.

I want to make sigils that dance entertainingly to a mechanistic chaunt.

I need a Gif animator for school. It must be a free download, capable of saving files. A time-limited trial edition would be fine.

I have my sigils, I have the frames of the animations. I have a thing where I can type in my mantra and it will say it in a robot voice, and lets me save the resulting noiz as a wav.

What I do not have is a way to string the seperate images together and play them as an animation, with the appropriate wav file playing over the top.

If I don't get what I want I will shine a laser pointer on your bald patch or your cleavage or your bum in an embarassing way in assembly.

PS: I might be persuaded to squeeze in a sigil if you help me with this.

And if you don't help me, Lurid gets it.

And I won't let you watch, neither.

What about this?

I'm pretty sure Paint Shop Pro makes animated .gifs, too. There's free versions (30 day trials) here.

A visa-fixin' sigil would be tootin'.

Fooled me? But of course! I come pre-fooled, as you know...

Macromedia Fireworks has a inbuilt gif-animator, and generous instructions. Free to download, you can save files but only 30 day trial. Should be perfect for you.

if you want to have the sound and the animation be the same file, i don't think you can put a .wav in a gif anim. you should do the thing in flash, which will output a .swf which you can also download for free at macromedia.

if you decide to go this route lemmee know and i'll give you further flashing advice, if yr not familiar with the program

Yes, no sound in animated GIFs. You want Flash. (Also usually produces smaller files.)

You can download a 30-day trial from www.macromedia.com and that 30-day trial period can be cracked. So I'm told. Allegedly.

If your school has any web design courses they will definitely have a copy that they might let you play with.

Werl, since you mention it... I'm not the only one who picks the other lither's brains on a semiregular basis regarding academic & other matters, and I occasionally get mine picked too. Maybe a remodelled "help" forum for perplexed folk?
