Bless you, wise one, I have the recipe! But actually, my tummy is full of fresh bread (still warm) and honey.

Huggles for the sad boos.

I have been looking at pictures of paper mills for the last four hours. I have the good cheer of Howlin' Mad Murdock.

It's raining over here in NYC too. I can't say it's depressing me, because I'm too sleep-deprived to be depressed right now...

It's not the rain. It's EVERYTHING.

Ooh, KCC, that sounds bad. Are you okay?

I'm now buzzing on coffee. We managed to avoid any arguments by getting thrown out of cafe after 20 minutes because they were closing. Oh well. I'm off home now to make nice food and snuggle on the couch with a book while the rain drizzles outside.

Crappy day, you bet.
I've had 2 hours sleep.

It's raining here too. (Vancouver BC)
And I still have another thirteen hours to go at work.
Whhheeeeeee!!!!!

So suffer my little piggies, suffer ....

"I've had 2 hours sleep."

LUXURY!

ONE pissing hour of proper sleep last night! ONE! One hour of brain going "neeeeeeeeeee", three hours of wrestling with toddler's legs. One totally unsatisfying hour of "f*** it, just five more minutes..." *tick tick tick* "...just one more minute..." *tick* "I'll just lie here another 4 seconds..." etc

Whine whine whine . . . bet you lot wouldn't be so down if tonight you were attending the world living-room premiere of the A-Team Musical! It's worth it even if I had to turn down paying work and a cab home in order to go.

Can't say I approve of the piss-awful weather through. When it rains in Kensington maybe it looks like a scene out of Brief Encounter, but when it rains in King's Cross it just looks grey and wet.

PS Tickets for the ATM still available, for some unfathomable reason.

You call this a bad day??? I still don't have my lasers. Not even one colour of lasers. ! NO LASERS! I'm 28 years old an I've never owned a laser. My life is a pit of pain and anguish and laserlessness.

Personally, I'm glad you don't have lasers. If Bond films taught me anything, its that lasers should not be given to meglomaniacs with a penchant for world domination and incidental sadism. I'm sure that doesn't include you, MC, but just to be safe...

What have I ever done to you, bk? Mordant really doesn't need that sort of encouragement. Besides, you haven't seen that evil glint in her eye when she talks about her lasers. Bwaahahahahaha.

eeep.

hence my fondness for adam sandler movies...

A pot of coffee later and I'm still zombie walking through this day. Gawd, what I wouldn't give for some lasers right now ...

Of course it's a shit day all round - it's Monday. Mondays always suck. Normally I'm only happy when it rains too.

But since I saw my flatmate for the first time since Friday (waddling, wincing and whimpering) and found out he has a boil on his bum, I have felt curiously light-hearted, in a heartless bastard so-called-friend kind of way.

Such bad karma coming my way...

Well, Reason's sitting here on my lap and we're booting about the world wide web, looking at neat stuff and hanging out. She's out of work, I'm not making any money at the store and we were up all night dealing with wet beds and toddler nightmares. And are in a surprisingly good mood for all that. The weather is lovely and rainy and I (at least) am loving it. Nick, c'mon over and we'll give you a nice hot cup of chai and let our son tell you stories about Optimus Prime and Megatron.

Kali, it would make both of us smile if you e-mailed that recipe here, post haste. Mmmmmmmmmm, lava.

Today is not bad, though I do have tickle of a migraine. But let me tell you about three days ago:

Three days ago the wind blew a piece of the roof off, almost. Almost is worse than off, because it bangs around and is unnerving & I was home alone at night and needed not to be unnerved. So I hauled out the ladder and climbed out on the roof, which is when it occured to me that the reason the roof blew off (almost) was because it was very fucking windy. And that it was night, and so pitch black on the windy roof. And that the last time I had climbed on the roof, I hadn't been able get back down. And Husb was not going to be home for three hours. And it was freezing.

Then when I had got down & back inside and was going shakily downstairs, I slipped in something nasty that the cat had barfed on the stairs.

Just started raining here a bit ago. I personally find it nice as it's been unseasonably hot all May.

My day still doesn't feel like a day just yet. Perhaps because I'm not working. Just roaming hither and yon and still not achieving much of anything.

Let's see in addition to chocolate lava muffins, I also have some really tasty garlic recipes. Oh, and I made a simple lasgna last night too.

I got up between three and four hours later than I should have today, and only got about a third of the list of important! practical! things I had to do today done... Mind you, that's actually pretty good going for me, practical not being exactly my middle name. And at least I have a CV I'm reasonbly happy with, and have looked at some job ads and thought, hey, I've got experience now, maybe I could actually apply to some of these... And I went smart office shoe shopping and found a pair that had been reduced from £70 - £70! - to a tenner.

So today wasn't too bad. As long as I get the rest of that list done tomorrow, I'll be fine...
