I'm having an increasing amount of problems with staying logged in here. It usually seems to be solved by deleting cookies... but (a) I can't delete all my cookies on a regular basis, it's very inconvenient for all the other sites and (b) it's not working so well recently. I really think there's a bug somewhere.

Can you tell me what cookies are supposed to be set? I found three from www.barbelith.com/underground - lasttime_cookie, thistime_cookie and password_cookie (which seemed to be correct). They don't seem to be making any difference.

Opera 6.01, win98, all accept cookie options turned on.

Deleting those cookies, quitting Opera, then restarting seems to work. Not an ideal solution either.

The problem does seem to be with opera's implementation of cookies. I'll send this thread to Cal to look at though...

There's software that deletes cookies on startup...have one for my mac but I know there's PC variants out there. Look to download.com and do a search...let the computer do the work for you.

Opera will let you do that automatically too - but then, I'd have to re-log-in to everything whenever I wanted to use it... boards, amazon, obscure news sites that I don't remember the password for...

But actually I've run into the opera cookie problems before and unless cal can make the site more opera friendly I dont think there is a fix.

The new Opera 6.02 is supposed to be better with cookies.

Having said that, it's just tossed my cookie for this place again. I hope I can actually answer this time.
