I’ve recently moved to sunny(?) Brighton to write full time (with the possibility of some occasional pirating on the side), and I’m curious to know just how many of you are lurking around this neck of the woods and whether introductions over much pintage might be in order…

I was in Brighton two weeks ago for the first time. Went to a load of pubs and then the Zap club, which was quite nice, and the Event, which was quite horrid. By and large I had a very good time.

I suggest someone starts a Brighton Meet thread. I for one will be happy to attend, know at least one extra Barbelithian Brightonian (Cloudhands) and can tow along vast numbers of others visitors too. Advance warning is somewhat necessary as I work at a weekend, however.

Of course, at present Tezcatlipoca's Brighton meet is apparently scheduled to clash with the London barbemeet...not sure about the wisdom of that. Possibly a "come up/down to Brighton" meet w/the London and Southampton posses in attendance...

Hmmmm....ok, and in respect of Haus' comments on a London clash, two courses of action seem to present themselves:

One, we keep to this coming weekend and merge the two meets (either down here or up in London), or, two, the London meet stays as it is and a Brighton meet is rearranged for another day. I'd rather go for a Brighton meet, strangely enough, but I'm happy to travel up to London if need be...

How does this suit with people?

My point of trying to arrange a barbemeet was to meet up with as many of you as possible, so it just seemed a tad ridiculous to run two separate meets when one large get-together could have been arranged. That's all...
