not only do i need to wake up at 5 am to be to this stupid job every day, but i come in on time at 6 am as usual, and im the only one who showed up, so i look at the schedules and WOW i was scheduled off today for some unknown reason

so, because im a noble man and not an asshole i am sticking around for a while, praying that no one needs the aid of a sr level technician, or at least that not more than one person at a time does...

Why does Sunday suck? I have to be at work at 7 AM, which means that when I stayed up last night to watch Mondo Mod (a 60's exploitation cheapie) I was robbing myself of sleep. There is a lot I hated about working the corporate world...Sundays off was one fo the few things I loved.

My Sunday sucks because it's actually a bank holiday weekend and therefore I should have three days off. But instead I've been at work yesterday AND today doing other people's work because they're too shit to have done it themselves... That's why my sunday sucks. Oh and I've got three weeks to find a flat in and I don't have time to do it. Oh and I might have to come in tomorrow as well. And let's see, since I worked four hours late two days last week, this essentialyl means that in the last seven days I've worked seven working days. Woo.

I woke up late, my friends have deserted me, I'm supposed to be writing an essay but instead just finished reading Maus, which was terribly uplifting and now I crave all the bread in the house. I'm supposed to go see a friend's play as it closes tonight, and now I really don't feel like going out so I'm going to spend the rest of the evening coming up with lame excuses for not seeing this show.

My Sunday didn't suck in the slightest. On the contrary, Monday's bank holiday meant it was the first Sunday in a long time I haven't had the awful sense of foreboding borne of having to leave ZoCher in time to catch an evening train back to London. Instead, we've spent the day pottering about in dressing gowns, perusing the Sunday papers, meeting friends for a (surprisingly classy) evening meal and going on to dance the wee small hours away in a late-night club with reliably good music.

Which was nice.
