A war against terrorism - terror, can never be won. A particular portion of the right wing is intent on taking away civil liberties and this, a perfect excuse. Another well armed one is intent on defending them and this is, a perfect excuse.
U.S citizens have been increasingly arming themselves with firearms since the attack (not to the extent of Y2K though). Police budgets are reportedly going to skyrocket and they're being equipped with the latest in military technology, to handle large scale violence.
If things go to far here (military police everywhere, etc) they'll come down to the cities in truckloads.... |
