www.theonion.com, have put together their best ever issue in an 'attack on america' special. And it has bite.
Best story 'God Angrily Clarifies 'Don't Kill' Rule' along with 'American Life Turns Into Bad Jerry Bruckheimer Movie'.
Nice to see some people haven't lost it.

I like the huggin idea.... now if only people can start learning to hug people of different colours, creeds, nationalities, sexual persuasion, religion, food, musical tastes, species, size, sex, opinion, ideas, shape, size......etc etc

There's so much to love. However, the best bit of the whole thing is just a picture and these nine words:

Jerry Falwell: Is That Guy A Dick Or What?

[Although the 'Possible location of terrorists' map is pretty good, too]

Leave it to the Onion to provide the best coverage of this whole mess in the mainstream media....

Here's some questions: Is it possible to buy The Onion in England? And is there anything missing from the ewebsigte that's in the printed version?

The Onion has a print edition, but it's a fairly small print run and has limited distribution. It's primarily a webzine, and is (I think) best enjoyed as such.

Well, The Onion was supposed to have a massive launch of its new print edition the third week of September, but in light of recent events, they opted to push that off til late October. They are going to have it on street corners of every major US city, a la The Village Voice in NYC, and it's going to be much bigger (and not just for the adverts) than the past version of the print edition. Something to look foward to.

I always picked up the print version. Is the newer, bigger Onion going to cost anything? I'm not being cheap. I'm just curious.

No, it's going to be free on the street, like the Village Voice. It may be at a cost to those in the suburbs or cities issues would be imported to or something...the Village Voice, which is free in the five boroughs of NYC is for sale in bookstores and newstands in Westchester and Long Island, for example.

It's being done like a free weekly paper, I think they are franchising it in different cities or something along those lines. I didn't know this til recently, I called into Tom Scharpling's radio showand spoke to him off the air, and he was telling me about this, as he is a writer for the Onion and was explaining how much trouble this set of events has caused them.

Anybody pick up their history of the 20th century book they did? Front pages of the onion through history. Had some classic headlines, my favourite was 'Nixon killed in shootout with FBI' :-)

The 'book on tape' version of that story is about ten times funnier, take my word for it...
