So, erm, tickets are on sale now for a bunch of Bowie dates.

He's playing with Moby, that lame shite, but well, it's Bowie, so what are you gonna do?

I'm wondering if Bowie will do the (intelligent) thing that Paul McCartney is doing lately, and go for a full-on greatest hits assault. He should. It would make a lot of people really happy.

$40 dollars is a bit steep though.

I think that if David Bowie was going to play all of his big hits for at least two hours, that's a reasonable price if yr a big Bowie fan. However, if it's $40 for him to play his new crap with maybe four or five oldies thrown in, then it's a rip off.

hell yeah, i'd pay $40 for good bowie, with a few dumb bands thrown in just for kicks, but i can't take an assault of new bowie. all pre-mid 80's, he can play "pretty things are going to hell" for all the NIN kids that got turned on to bowie and bought his new albums...i dunno, let's petition him at his website. we'll band together into little groups and make requests. "dr mr bowie, we fans who wil be at show X, humbly request that you not play that crap which makes us sad, and reminds us of the old days when your music was good. that's the kind of music we want. good music. so can you just not play anything after, say, "let's dance"? or maybe even exclude that if you're feeling nice . thank you mr bowie, we know you understand."

I'd be happy with songs from Outside and Earthling, as long as he skipped over Hours... entirely.

But the good tix here are $65 - a little steep, considering I'd rather put my eyes out than put a cent in Moby's whorish pocket. But I'm moving two days before he plays here anyway, so I've got to wait for dates to be announced in my new city.
