Go check out anti.com, for there you can hear not one, but two brand-spankin' new albums from Tom Waits in their entirety, from now until May 6th. Alice is the music from the 1992 stage collaboration with Robert Wilson of the same name, and the songs from Blood Money are from their more recent production of Woyzeck. Not that you'd have to know the shows to enjoy the tunes. My new shiny coin's on Blood Money, because having seen the show, the songs are excellent, and it's in a very Black Rider style. The German gibberish is too difficult for me to translate without at least some helping liner notes, but it's mostly this:
