International DJ Gigolos is a good label for this sort of stuff; Tiga's has at least two mixes out on it, and they are kind of credited with doing this sort of stuff ages ago.
Felix Thee Housecat has just released a mix opf this sort of stuff, and there's an interesting-looking CD called Futurism, IIRC, which compiles some of it.
Really, though, you might as well just wait a few more weeks and you'll be drowned under a sea of compilations. There's already about 10 I've seen out on the shelves, and once Ministry of Sound start pushing Fischerspooner, everything's going to explode.
If the rumours that Fischerspooner signed for £2 million are correct (a) I'll eat my hat, but (b) there's too much investment into this sort of stuff already for it not to succeed and cross over. |
