Sorry, Jade, not one of your posse, though very happy to have learnt the word lusophone.
However, my very first boyfriend did grow up in Lisboã and taught me a couple of words. This was during the late cretaceous period though and so I have forgotten all but for o Senhor fala portugues? and that mala de maõ means "handbag".
If I am ever in Brazil, I could perform Oscar Wilde in Portuguese (Senhora Bracknell, with supremely superior snarl, "una mala de maaaaaaaõ...") |
