Isn’t there a story (probably apocryphal) about Grant Morrison reading a comic whilst on drugs, and accidentally turning back a page, and thinking he’d gone back in time ?
Have to say, the nearest I ever come to reading under the influence is when I’m on the brink of falling asleep. But that’s more of a reflection on the reading matter than my state, I guess (Astro Boy seemed to send me off to sleep most recently, for example. Won’t be buying THAT again, I can tell ya).
