I just started reading the first trade of Puma Blues, which is at once flawed but quite wonderful at the same time. I had never heard of it before until my girlfriend brought it back from the distro she works at. It features thick, beautiful Mike Zulli art work, but unfortunately I can't remember right now who writes it. Anyone else read this?

Yes. I liked it, too, although it was a bit slow in getting through the plot. I can't recall being any clearer what was happening by the abandonment of the series as I was at the start. Stephen Murphy, was that the writer. Zulli's art was gorge though, and those flying manta ray's were worth the cover price. A much missed book. Don't know who has the rights now, either. It caused a big stink between Diamond and Dave Sim, too, and there was the charity/save the book issue, 22 I think, that had some top names on it, including, I think, Alan Moore.
