Yeah, SFD, my experience with the Electoral roll in any number of places is that it takes months to process your application before you're elligble to vote. Rather depressing given that local elections have proved the easiest means for extremists to gain a toehold on power or representation. The examples of Oldham or the Isle of Dogs prove that we can't afford to place any additional barriers, alongside apathy and lack of information, before voters. |
