HunterWolf writes Issue 20's cover made me want to go look up Richard Upton Pickman on the Net and find out just who this bloke was.
Good luck. Pickman is a main character in a well-known H.P. Lovecraft story, Pickman's Model. Pickman is well-known for his horrific paintings of ghouls and the like; the story ends with the protagonist happening into Pickman's studio and realizing, to his horror, that there is a photograph depicting the scene currently being painted tacked to the easel... |
