| I'm moving in a week and a half, and although I'm moving about 2 blocks, it seems cable modem service is not available in my new apartment. Boo-fucking-hoo. So, I'm losing my high speed connection for the nonce. I've been informed that DSL is most likely available, but they have to "test" my line when I move in, and 3 weeks after they'll hook me up. Being a geek, I can't go that long without home internet service, but I don't want to set up a paid dial-up account. Are there any free ISPs left? I can deal with ads and the like. I'm in NYC, the US of A. Help would be greatly appreciated. |
