Indication of America's swift tilt towards fascism:
I'm no fan of Bill Maher, host of a comedy/political debate show called Politically Incorrect on late night on one of the networks. But he made a comment about how brave a kamikaze pilot needs to be to carry out his mission.
And if you think about it, it's true. Of course, there's that thin line between bravery and stupidity . . .
But anyway, as soon as the words are out of his mouth, the network instantly pulls him off the air. When they come back on, he has to make this big apology for one off-the-cuff comment.
Also making the talk show rounds yesterday: The list of banned songs. Everybody seems to be for it, at least among the Boomers (this is the generation that fought against the Vietnam War, BTW; I guess since it's no longer their collective ass, they don't give a damn anymore).
Funny, when I went to work on 9/11, I was in America. When I came home, I don't know where the fuck I am now. |
