The proper way to use the term 420 is something like, "420... yeah, brah!...."
Or "dude, it's 420 up in the house if you wanna get in on that shit."
When I was in Prague I was one of 4 Americans on my course. We often got a far-away, glazed look in our eyes when the Brits(the other 8 students) would start talking about something we knew nothing about (um, British television, say), but one day, we for some reason we had to play some sort of "language bingo." I forgot why, but the point is the teachers put a series of numbers on the board that we could use in bingo, one being 420.
We four Americans smiled at each other knowingly, shouted, "Yeah, braaaah!" and we all put "420" in the centers of our bingo cards. And I believe it was the one and only time during our course that the Brits had no idea what the hell we were going on about.
And that is my (admittedly kind of lame) 420 story for you.  |
