Yes, yes, I know...there are dozens of search engines to help me locate hundreds of thousands of possible pages. But instead of aimlessly wandering in the hopes of stumbling across a four-leaf clover, I'd appreciate a little guidance. What websites do you recommend for their entertainment and/or education value? Sites that are updated regularly are preferred.

Here's a few I've found, most of which you'll probably be familiar with:
Killfrog
Cruel Site of the Day
Something Positive
The Onion
Eric Conveys An Emotion
Wil Wheaton Dot Net
Seanbaby Dot Com

More! More! I need more!

X-Entertainment Nifty site about eighties pop culture. I haven't been there for awhile, but the archives should keep you busy.

Dysfunctional Family Circus Its family circus...only interesting.

I can't believe we can't edit our own posts without a permission slip from a moderator or our mommy. Less personal freedom for the members, more scutwork for the mods...is this going to be fixed any time soon?

The names I listed should become links as soon as someone processes my Free Speech Request Form.

It won't be fixed. Not being able to edit one's post is supposed to cause one to think before one posts. It takes less than a minute to process edit requests once a moderator is made aware of their moderation tasks. Its not a big deal.

What kind of educational websites are you looking for?

was thinking of posting this anyway, so here goes: a colleague at work is pals with a painter, charlotte baynes, who now lives in barcelona. her website is beautiful, imho, the paintings full of motion and strong colour. check it out: www.art-loco.com.

Is the website done by Kylie Minogue when she sings "C'mon, everybody do the loco-notion?"

This is a great, creative forum:

The Halfbakery

http://www.halfbakery.com

"The Halfbakery is a communal database of original, fictitious inventions, edited by its users. It was created by people who like to speculate, both as a form of satire and as a form of creative expression."

Trijhaos, I define "educational" as anything interesting but not necessarily humorous: trivia on odd subjects, brutal movie reviews, insightful opinion columns, etc.

Johnson, I can't get anything with the address you've provided.

s.f.d., Ms. Baynes's paintings are impressive; they have a blurry, photorealistic quality. For some reason, that site reminded of Shag-Art, which features pictures that are stylistic polar opposites: cartoon figures, precise lines, definite blocks of color.

Loz, don't you think The Parking Lot Is Full has slacked off in recent months? The adventures of Rocko and Socko were originally either funny or creepy, but the novelty value has worn thin. I hope the creative team goes back to material similar to their pre-sock-puppet-epic: clone cannibalism and the fine art of making love to scalpels.

Can someone post the link for Hatt-Baby again... it was in "favourites" on my old computer and I miss it so...
