Bottom of page. A "back to top" link. Please. Pretty please with sugar on top.

(Or, even better, nav links at the bottom of the page as well as the top... but a "back to top" link would be fine.)

It's just that, when you finish reading a topic, and you don't want to reply or start a new topic, you're still at the end of the page and it's nice to be able to click back and see the topic lists rather than scroll all the way up again.

Word to that.

Sorry, is this because it's too much effort to move your mouse to 'Back' or something? (Probably opening myself to sarcastic flames here but I don't see what the problem is...)

yes, but what if I don't want to go back, hmm? what if I want to go to the main menu?

Anyway, if I go back I have to reload to see any new topics. That's two whole clicks or ALT-LEFT CTRL-B.

I'm not pretending any motive here except idleness.

yeah, but at the bottom of the page, it's no differnt.

i wouldn't mind so much, but we got use these laptops at work with the touchpads, which ain't so hot at the scrolling thing. Makes me thumbs hurt.

Um, and could we make the "go to" bit actually go to somewhere? Like the other forums? That'd be a Good Thing, methinks.

it's all about the key commands...at least for a mac...

um..."page up" and "page down" help. Otherwise, I think the "up" and "down" arrow keys scroll the window up and down. Also "Command - left arrow" or "Command - right arrow" go forward and backward in the browser (swap "command" with "Ctrl" for you PC users). Take away your mouse, and you'll eventually find the 500x quicker way to navigate our dear old internet...mr. keyboard...

Or you could get a wheel mouse. I love my Logitech MouseMan Wheel; can't imagine how I ever got along without it.

It's easier with a wheel mouse - I don't mind so much at home. But I'm not dragging* my mouse around to work and back. I'd rather put the onus on Tom to make my life easier.

* My mouse is the special Logitech Neutronium model that weighs as much as Antartica.
