If we ever hold an ICBM

I have found the perfect place.

Whilst dealing with some client information I came across an account for the Edelwiess Motel. I can only imagine what this place is like.

What a shame. I felt like inflicting mass destruction on cutesy Alpine flora.

I think both of those definitions of ICBM might accomplish that Kit-Kat.

Switzerland works for me friends.

Well that way EVERYONE would have to travel quite a long way, there'd be no chance of any wars getting in the way, plenty of bomb shelters if one does (or is that Finland?) and Switzerland is absolutely packed with gold-hoarding capitalist pigdogs for us to harrass!

Unless, of course, outdated national stereotypes turn out to be completely false. Now there's a thought..

But anyway, Edelwiess reminds me of the Edelwiess Pirates and the motel (probably) looks like that place in The Shining.. rock on!

Why don't we just stay at the hotel from The Shining? Its homepage is here.

Like they'd let us into Switzerland. One look at the en masse Lith arrivals in Berne, and the borders would come down faster than an F-16 on a innocent village of Iraqi civilians.
What we'd need to do is sneak in one at a time. I'll get the tram with Dickie Attenborough.

As for the Shining hotel, I can't even watch the film without all the lights on and a group of friends to put me to bed. What the flying fun am I going to do when wandering around the corridors at three o'clock in the morning, smashed out of my tree? Shit myself, that's what.

hotel trivia---
The hotel used in the film th shining was NOT the original king based his book on
the hotel is the Mohonk Mountain House in upstate new york, where he would stay 2 or 3 times a year.
That hotel, which i grew up about 10 mins from, does in fact have a closed wing where no one stays, reportedly due to haunting.

I think this qualifies as one of the loveliest hotels I have ever stayed at. They warn you to keep your windows locked because of monkeys, though...

Elijah, I think that is the best idea for a mass North American meet I've ever heard. I would seriously consider doing that.

only if we get to stay in the haunted bit.

Well obviously. Ooooh, that'd be soooo cool.
And as for the Eidelweiss, it's about 10 minutes away from my in-laws' place. A couple of hours north of Toronto. I thought it would be in Switzerland. Damn.

Evil.
