First off- Tom, and anyone else who's had to moderate the fuckers- sorry for double-posting a couple of times. But here's the whys and wherefores...
Didn't there used to be another screen saying "thank you, your post has been registered" or something to the effect? With my dodgy connection (which is a problem I imagine many others have) it's sometimes easy to think your post hasn't gone anywhere- and (if you're as dumb as me) then think maybe you hadn't clicked it at all?
The "Flood Control" thing from the old site could come in handy here... or maybe it actually IS here, and my connection is shit. BUT if it is a common problem, then surely it's causing more people a problem under the new democratic moderator system (which. don't get me wrong, I have no problem with in itself). Or... I dunno, coding's so far from being my specialist subject you'd need more than binoculars to see it from there, but is there any way a double-post could be AUTOMATICALLY detected/deleted?
Again, it may just be MY connection. But I've also had the same problem when posting from work, and it never used to happen before... |
