ok, so lets say there is a buffy/smallville crossover.
Would Spikes chip know that clark is an alien, and would he be able to hit him?

Spike probably wouldn't be able to hurt Clark. I figure Clarks's physiology (is that the right word?) is close enough to that of a human that the chip wouldn't make a distinction. I mean other than the fact that Clark can see into the girl's locker room, tear apart cars like tin cans, and probably leap a fairly small building in a single bound, he's pretty much human.

Of course, I don't know all that much about Spike's chip. About the time he was getting a chip shoved into his head, I was watching wrestling.

He'd be able to hit Clark, for all the good it would do him.

rock on

they need to resurrect the crazy doctor lady to explain exactly HOW the chip works.
It can tell that buffy was brought back from the grave, even though spike didnt know the difference, so its obviously not what HE considers human.

What is it that makes Buffy different now though? Did she perhaps lose the part of her soul that makes her human? Could it be a consentual reality type of thing? Seeing as how everybody believed that she came back different, she actually did come back different? I know its got something to do with the ritual being interrupted, but I don't know what was lost because of the interruption.

I don't think this crazy lady needs to be resurrected. I mean, that one geek...whatshisname...seemed to know enough about it to at least make sure its working right, wouldn't he be able to explain things?

She's totally normal, but she is different. Like milk with a little food dye in it. It's essentially the same, and yet it's not recognisable as milk. Back to the main question (if you can really call it that) - I would say Spike could probably hit him. And I'm completely not convinced by this chip thing anyway - surely it should be about what Spike believes to be human rather than the chip determining for itself whether or not someone is human. That seems much less plausible...

One line spoiler-

As Tara put it, her return from the afterlife and the spell just sort of tweaked her ever so slightly. "The molecular equivelant of a deep tan."

Hell with all of those kryptonite kids running around Smallville I think Spike could pretty must kill their whole fucking high school without so much as a beep from that chip.

Ah, here's to a Lex and Spike team up!

Pure poetry!

I thik the chip works on the evil/not evil premise. If its evil..he can hit it. I would think he could hit Mr.Kent..just cause he's no longer a Duke boy..and that's evil.

Really? Which one was he, Bo or Shep? God it's been so long since I've seen that show...

He was Bo Duke, and Tom Wopat was Luke. Of course the only reason to watch that show was to see Daisy.

I don't think Bo and Luke saw each other quite that way, Elijah. At least, not until they had to hide the General Lee in that rubber eiderdown factory...
