Did anyone get whacked by the dreaded day of pranks?

I did.

On Monday morning my brother phoned me up and said that all the HMV's and Tower Records stores were going to be open at midnight to sell a new Tool live album that the band had been keeping secret. Joy! I was going to be in Toronto that night for the Kids In The Hall show, and I didn't mind hanging around for a bit. So before the show we went to HMV and asked if they were indeed releasing the album that night. They had absolutely no idea what we were talking about. And it was about then that it dawned on me what day it was.

Fuckers.

HOly shit I haven't laughed like that in years. The funniest bits were the tech glitches that forced the boys to improvise away. I was honestly considering getting a scalped ticket for the next night's show, but it would have cost well in excess of $80. Well worth it. I hope they do another tour soon.

I was horribly disappointed by April Fool's Day this year. I didn't fool, I wasn't befooled, and there were sod all decent foolings in the newspapers I read for the day. I was longing for someone to come into my house that morning, wake me up, and pretend to be bailiffs or something. But no. I slept in peace. WHERE THE FUCK IS EVERYONE'S SENSAYUMA?
