| Mmmn. The Ghibli season at my local (termtime) picturehouse almost sold out, and I passed on Mononoke because it's fairly easy to get hold of... but I did get to see Porco Rosso (which I believe was commented on in another Miyazaki thread), and was blown away. Beautiful animation, and the bit with the heaven-of-fliers was superb. Really touching, completely universal, and something that deomnstrates the power of cartoons. I loved it... hoping for an r2 DVD release. |
