Admittedly it has been a long time since I started a thread about something sexually related.

Ah, the memories.

Actually this thread--while surely subject to rot as most threads are--is about porn. What porn sites do you visit? Why? What "kink" do you find a guilty (or not) pleasure? Does the choice of porn that you like reflect on your actual physical sexual behavior?

I ask this because I was astounded at the naivete of my significant other one night when I told him I knew what kind of porn he liked. He vociferously claimed I did not, and I rebutted with a working knowledge of the porn sites that are always in his dropdown menu on the laptop. (Plus a few that he thinks I don't know about.) I see no reason for him to deny that I know better than he thinks I do. I too like porn and I too have my own tastes.

Any takers?

Id hate to feed the girl-stereotype but I dont care for porn, really. I find it silly at best, insipid at worst.

but I find it interesting that your boyfriend was surprised (taken aback?) at your self-inclusion. I dont know if this is the case with the two of you, but Ive found that a lot of grown men are still quite embarrassed of their fondness for porn - from their fears of discovery when living at home, former girlfriends disapproval...

Looove the porn.
I'm a big fan of the sexy underwear sites. It's kinda my thing. I like the sexy schoolgirl ones too. And yes, I'd have to say that reflects on my sexual practices.

(No, not with schoolgirls, you guys're perverse)

And if you asked my wife, I'm sure she could tell you exactly what kind of porn I'm into.

I'd have to say, though, that my surfing for porn has severely decreased over the last year or so. I find lots of other interesting things to do on- or off-line nowadays, and the porn has sort of fallen by the wayside. Not sure why that is really.

Being possibly more libidinous than any human has a right to be, I find porn titillating and thrilling.

In a way he's sort of embarrassed by his interest in porn, but at the same time, he defends his right to look at it. This I find funny because I have never once said, "I wish you would stop looking at porn." He has his own peccadilloes, as do I, and I would never attack him about porn. But he acts like I do and gets all defensive, and I'm like, "Have you not cleaned out your ears? I know you look at porn. So do I."

Well, a few months ago, I decided to bite the bullet and do a bit of research about what was available. (But only on free sites, which may explain my disappointment; I'm not spending money on this shite.) Most of the sites I visited were aweful. I hated them. Referred to women as bitches, sluts, whores, yada yada, and that made me feel bad. Also, pics and movies I saw just didn't seem any fun at all.

My interest was revived when I visited a friend about two weeks ago and we watched a porn. I loved it! It was so funny because it was bad, just aweful, and still got me a little bit riled up.

In general, though, porn doesn't do a whole lot for me. Maybe I haven't been exposed to enough of it. It just seems that most of it is not targeting me at all.

I do love erotic lit, though. That does far more for me than any of the porn I've seen.

Occasionally, late at night, I'll flip on my cable system's scrambled pay-per-view porn channel and listen to the screams and the bad music and look at the fractured, cut-up images--it's sort of Cubist, and I find it oddly soothing.

There's a certain comfort to be taken from things as predictable and formalized as the Hot Channel. It's rather like watching a Japanese tea ceremony.

Ah, you see, it all really depends on what movie you're watching. I've found one or two directors who seem to be interested in making films that people don't just want to fast forward through.

(And I'm having this odd deja vu about this topic, but from way, way back)

Michael Ninn is quite excellent. Both "Latex" and "Shock" are very cyberpunk and really entertaining. Of course they have the poor acting and the sound quality whenever someone speaks is horrendous, but the plots, both involving visiting a strange world inside a psychiatric patient's mind, are quite good. One or two shots (no pun intended) are really quite artistic. My only complaint would be the same one I have for most mainstream porn, and that's that he guys stay a good freaking distance away from each other, which just makes the group scenes seem clinical to me.

Andrew Blake is another "artistic" one. Many of his films are solely women, but he puts them in lavish costumes and sets and tries to tell a visual story. Not much dialogue in his stuff.

Of course, if you go our and rent "Buttmasters volume 32", you deserve all the terrifying porn you're going to get.

That's terribly unfair. If you don't see the first 31 volumes of "Buttmasters", what chance do you have of following the plot?

It's like Robotech.

i like porn with guys who have incredibly fake mustaches that fall off while they are pounding away
Its great, there are a lot of these, and between myself and a pal we have about 10

my lady friend prefer degrading porn, because she thinks that porn should be that way

My understanding, Haus, is that the whole series is soon to be released in a DVD widescreen box set, along with director commentary and some deleted scenes. I'm waiting for that to come (ha!) out and then I'll see if I can follow along.

(Hee hee. Robotech with buttmastery. How gold would that have been?)

I'm very ambivalent about the whole internet-porn thing. On the one hand of course, yay porn; porn as a concept is neutral at worst and very groovy at best. But when you talk about the practice, you get into the whole sex industry thing, and that's not so good.

Take one of my bookmarks, Literotica.com. It's free, it's mostly text rather than piccies, all the stories are amateur submissions, and it has plenty of improving tales where boy meets girl and boy gets his tail improved with a hurty implement. So far, so good.

However, there's a few things I don't like about it. One is the fact that it because it caters to just about every perversion under the sun (although to be fair the site does at least try to keep the worst stuff corraled in one forum), you do occasionally stumble across some moron's rape fantasy.

The other is the sponsorship issue. All- and I mean all- the pages come adorned with completely repulsive (to me anyway) banner ads for commercial porn sites. Excuse me all to hell and back, but if one is reading "Subby Steve's Domme Hell, Part 3", it seems unlikely that one would wish to see an animated Barbie lookalike copping some guy's 10cc over her perfectly painted face.

Generally, I prefer pages created by amatuers (in the Olympic sense), showcasing their own work. Text for preference; it's easier to meet halfway.

If you're looking for decent textual porn/erotica The Erotic Mind-Control Archive is pretty good. Its kind of limited in that all the stories deal with mind-control, but there are actually some pretty decent stories there that have actual plots and characters. Of course, there are some that are just horrible.

Let's see if I can get this linking thing to work.

The Erotic Mind Control Archive

The best part? No ads with nasty looking "teens". Its banner free.

My "partner", old MC, is perfectly aware of what porn I'm into. I'm rather blatant about it, in fact. Its hard to imagine how I could be more blatant. If you get my drift.

I'm sure that there are people out there who don't like porn, but I can't help feeling that its partly because of the stereotypes associated with it as well as some puritan hangover that sees sex as sordid. I'm aware of the problems with the sex industry but I reckon this is an area of our lives that needs to be reclaimed by all. We have vastly different tastes, of course, but almost everyone has sexual feelings and fantasies. Surely pornography should cater to that? For all.

And none of this "erotica" bullshit. Erotica is porn for middle class pseudo intellectuals who are too uptight to admit that they wank.

As a footnote, I myself find mainstream porn uninteresting, dull if not offensive. But I've no interest in "my porn is better than yours" types of debates. Ideally I'd like to see a world, united in masturbation.

For the record, I'm into Femdom, goth babes, Mind control, amateur porn (stories) and CBT amongst many others.

Another brick in the girl-stereotype wall, I find that visual porn just doesn't do it for me. I'm probably more likely to get turned on by Hentai than a video of an orgy in a German high school gymnasium. On the other hand, all the Hentai I've seen is so ridiculously out of proportion that I can't help but be annoyed by it. Amateur stories are much more fun.

I'm pretty predictable when it comes to my porn tastes. Three-ways mostly, the occasional blowjob, that sort of thing.

I do admit that I once found myself strangely turned on by the naughty Jetsons porn...

No, in this context it refers to cock and ball torture. What can I say, I like the heavy stuff... Its not my fault! Mordant Carnival makes me have impure thoughts.

Trijhaos, Already knew about that one but the motherload of just about everything is www.asstr.org, lots of crap, but some good stuff. Theres a load of reviews if you don't fancy just wading through the thousands of stories. Yahoo groups are a haven for filth as well, but you have to search a bit.
And I've already gone on record about my evil witch, femdom, mind control thing, I blame childrens TV to be honest :-)
Oh knew this bloke who ran www.limitedaudience.com and had an argument over wether it was Porn or Erotica, fair enough no nudity but calling goth bondage babes erotica was dancing round the topic I felt. Erotica, fancy word for people who don't like the word pornography, might as well say it like it is.

I figured a couple people would be familar with that link.

I thought the Yahoo groups with adult content kind of got wiped off the map. I know they are still active though, but I'm not sure how to search for them. I remember finding a site that let you search the "adult" groups, but the bookmark was in Netscape Navigator which had an unfortunate accident last weekend.

QUOTE: Yahoo groups are a haven for filth as well, but you have to search a bit.

Scary as it may sound I am dedicated exclusively to one woman's porn exploits: Aria Giovanni. It's just my thing for olive-skinned lasses with long dark hair, I suppose. The odd shot of her masturbating and in climax -- that's my favorite. Ok. Now you know.

Until the other day I was getting my Aria smut from Yahoo! Groups. I got a vague email from Yahoo saying they'd be sharing folks' personal info etc. with "partners", and utilizing it in what I -- perhaps irrationally -- figured was some sort of evil conspiratorial way. So I abruptly quit all my porn groups.

If you don't mind sharing your strange proclivities with god-knows-who (as I just did, come to think about it), it isn't so hard to find porn. I will agree that you may have to search a bit to find specifically what you're after.

Unfortunately, I can't get porn on my machine at work, as it has a big strong firewall, which I'm actually kind of grateful for.
The last thing I want is to have to walk round and talk to people while all hunched up.
Porn is great though. All sorts are good, but I find that - when you think about it - it's all a bit degrading for everyone concerned.

Which is nice [rubs hands together in manner strictly outlawed by strategic perv convention on scary behaviour].

One thing I do object to is those porn stars t shirts, with the little representations of people that you'd normally see on bog doors. They piss me off and I can't quite figure out why. Probably something to do with the fact that they tend to be worn by twats who think it's somehow subversive.

God, I'm in a bad mood today. Sorry everyone. I'll just be off to have a nice cup of tea, and hopefully I'll feel better later.

As i've mentioned to Ms Kali before...sometimes I think that the 'idea' of porn is better then the reality of it. I think that the execution is just done poorly most times. There are some films done by women directors that make some attempt at story, and human connection, and to me, those seem to be the most effective. I like erotica as well, seen that literotica site before. As for what I like vs. what happens in my life,...well, I'll take the 5th. Tho I am sure Kali will give me more grief over the 20 y/o I work with at 2nd job, who seems to have a crush on me, I don't per se, have a thing for younger men. Maybe. I mean, maybe it's just a pretty boy thing.
