I'm very ambivalent about the whole internet-porn thing. On the one hand of course, yay porn; porn as a concept is neutral at worst and very groovy at best. But when you talk about the practice, you get into the whole sex industry thing, and that's not so good.
Take one of my bookmarks, Literotica.com. It's free, it's mostly text rather than piccies, all the stories are amateur submissions, and it has plenty of improving tales where boy meets girl and boy gets his tail improved with a hurty implement. So far, so good.
However, there's a few things I don't like about it. One is the fact that it because it caters to just about every perversion under the sun (although to be fair the site does at least try to keep the worst stuff corraled in one forum), you do occasionally stumble across some moron's rape fantasy.
The other is the sponsorship issue. All- and I mean all- the pages come adorned with completely repulsive (to me anyway) banner ads for commercial porn sites. Excuse me all to hell and back, but if one is reading "Subby Steve's Domme Hell, Part 3", it seems unlikely that one would wish to see an animated Barbie lookalike copping some guy's 10cc over her perfectly painted face.
Generally, I prefer pages created by amatuers (in the Olympic sense), showcasing their own work. Text for preference; it's easier to meet halfway. |
